Highland (council area)
Ang Highland ay isang council area sa Eskosya. Ito rin ang pinakamalaking council area sa Eskosya sa laki. Ang Highland ang ika-7 pinakamaraming bilang ng tao. Ito ay binubuo ng mga makasaysayang kondado ng: Inverness-shire, Ross and Cromarty, Caithness, Nairnshire, Sutherland at maliit na bahagi ng Argyll at Moray. Ito ay pinapaligiran ng mga kondado ng: Aberdeenshire, Argyll and Bute, Moray, at Perth and Kinross.[1]

Kasaysayan baguhin
Noong 1975, ito ay ginawa bilang dalawang baitang na rehiyon, sa ilalim ng Local Government (Scotland) Act 1973, na may kasamang nahalal na konseho para sa buong rehiyon, at para sa walong distrito: Badenoch and Strathspey, Caithness, Inverness, Lochaber, Nairn, Ross and Cromarty, Skye and Localish at Sutherland.[2]
