Ang Islam ay ang pangalawang pinakamalaking relihiyon sa India, kung saan may 14.2% ng populasyon ng bansa o tinatayang nasa 172 milyong tao ang kinikilala bilang tagasunod ng Islam (ayon sa senso noong 2011) bilang isang etnorelihiyosong pangkat.[1][2][3] Unang dumating ang Islam sa kanlurang baybay ng India nang dumating sa baybaying Malabar[4] at Konkan-Gujarat[5] ang mga mangangalakal na Arabe noong tinatayang unang bahagi ng ikapitong siglong CE. Sinasabing ang Moske ng Cheraman Juma sa Kerala ang unang moske sa India na itinayo noong 629 CE ni Malik Deenar.[6][7][8][9][10][11]
