Simple Minds
Ang Simple Minds ay isang Scottish rock band na nabuo sa Glasgow noong 1977. Ang Simple Minds ay naglabas ng isang serye ng mga hit single, na naging kilalang internasyonal para sa kanilang hit noong 1985 na "Don't You (Forget About Me)", mula sa soundtrack ng pelikulang The Breakfast Club. Ang kanilang iba pang kilalang mga nag-iisang hit ay isama ang "Alive and Kicking" at "Belfast Child" (UK No. 1). Nakamit nila ang limang UK Albums chart number one album at naibenta higit sa 60 milyong mga album.[3] Ang mga ito ang pinakamatagumpay na komersyal na bandang Scottish noong 1980s.[4] Sa kabila ng iba`t ibang mga pagbabago sa tauhan, patuloy silang nagre-record at naglalakbay. Noong 2016, natanggap nila ang Ivor Novello Award para sa Natitirang Koleksyon ng Kanta mula sa British Academy of Songwriters, Composers, at Author.[5]

Ang nucleus ng Simple Minds ay binubuo ng dalawang natitirang orihinal na miyembro, sina Jim Kerr (vocals) at Charlie Burchill (electric & acoustic guitars, paminsan-minsang mga keyboard pagkatapos ng 1990, saxophone at violin). Ang iba pang kasalukuyang miyembro ng banda ay sina Ged Grimes (bass gitara), Cherisse Osei (drums), Sarah Brown (backing vocals), Gordy Goudie (karagdagang gitara at keyboard).
