Pampamahalaang relihiyon

Ang pampamahalaang relihiyon ay isang relihiyon o kredo na opisyal na itinataguyod ng isang soberanong estado. Ang isang estado na may opisyal na relihiyon, bagama't hindi sekular, ay hindi naman isang teokrasya. Ang mga relihiyon ng estado ay mga opisyal o pinahintulutan ng pamahalaan na mga establisyimento ng isang relihiyon, ngunit ang estado ay hindi kailangang nasa ilalim ng kontrol ng relihiyon (tulad ng sa isang teokrasya) at ang relihiyon na pinahintulutan ng estado ay kinakailangang nasa ilalim ng kontrol ng estado.
