Si Amado Sevilla Bagatsing ay isang politiko sa Pilipinas na pinanganak noong 3 Disyembre 1947 sa Sampaloc, Maynila. . Napangasawa niya si Rosario LaO' Bagatsing at mayroon siyang apat na anak. Siya ay nagtapos ng batsilyer sa kursong Business Administration. Bilang miyembro ng kongresista ng 5th Distrito ng Maynila, siya naging kongresista mula 1987-1998, 2007-2016. Si Amado Bagatsing ay anak ng yumaong Mayor ng Maynila na si Ramon Bagatsing at kapatid ng dating kongresista ng 4th District na si Atty. Dondon Bagatsing.

Isa sa mga legasiya niya ay ang pagbuo ng NGO na “Kabalikat ng Bayan sa Kaunlaran” o mas kilalang tawagin na (KABAKA). Sa mahigit kumulang 30-dekada na pagtulong sa Maynila sa aspeto ng medikal, libreng gamot, at pagbigay ng mga bokasyonal na kursong maglalayon magbigay ng trabaho ay may humigit kumulang 150,000 na ang miyembro ng KABAKA sa buong lungsod ng Maynila. Ang KABAKA ay libreng serbisyong medikal at may mga pasilidad gaya ng 2D echo, X-Ray, at ulrasound machines. Lahat ito ay libre at maaring kumunsulta lahat ng miyembro sa kanilang klinik sa Pandacan, Maynila. HIndi lang iyan, dahil mayroon ding programa para sa edukasyon ang KABAKA kung saan lahat ng kurso nito ay aprubado ng TESDA sa ilalim ng KABAKA "Manpower Training and Assessment Center Inc.".

Ngayong paparating na eleksyon 2019, ang Puwersa ng Masang Pilipino (PMP) ni Mayor Joseph Ejercito Estrada at KABAKA ni Amado Bagatsing ay nagkaroon ng kowalisyon. Ang tambalang Mayor Erap at bilang Vice Mayor na si Amado Bagatsing. Ang dalawang magkaalyado ngayong eleksyon ay binuo ang Team Legacy na may katagang "SULONG MAYNILA! MAKIBAKA NA!".

Bilang kongresista ng 5th District ng Maynila ay naging chairman at komite siya ng iba't-ibang ahensya ng gobyerno na nagpatunay ng kahusayan niya bilang isang lingkod bayan. Ang mga ito ay ang mga sumusunod:

Hosted the “Bahay at Buha” television program fo ten (10) consecutive years on Channel 13 which served as a forum for discussing issues on shelter among NGO’s, housing agencies, and the marginalized sector to the urban poor.

I. Conceptualized the first beneficiary-led relocation for more than 60,000 informal settlers along north and south railways (from Pampanga to Calamba) giving them the option to choose their own site in Bignay, Bulacan.

II. As Chairman of Anti-squatting Syndicates Task Force, was responsible for the arrest of WILFREDO SUMULONG TORRES and other squatting syndicates operating in Metro Manila and other areas in the country victimizing the urban poor.

III. Implemented the housing project for the soldiers on a prime lot  (Bonifacio Heights located at Global City near Forbes Park and Dasmarinas Village in Makati) approximately 2,000 units for the soldiers.

IV. The first ever legislator to enact and execute laws he passed on Housing earning him the title “AMA NG PABAHAY”.
