Ang CitySavings ay itinatag ni Don Ramon Aboitiz noong 1965 sa Cebu City, Philippines bilang Cebu City Savings and Loan Association (CCSLA). Pagkalipas ng 11 taon, lumawak ang bangko sa kalapit na lungsod ng Tagbilaran, Bohol . Noong 2013, ang City Savings ay nakuha ng UnionBank at naging subsidiary nito.
