Later, Galido, Ingles, De Lima, and Rapinan also visited.[1] The group started drinking around 10:00 pm. According to Galido, Dacera drank tequila and rum coke. She was rushed to the hospital but was immediately declared "dead on arrival."[1]

Before her death, a CCTV footage was released on public. Taken in the hallway outside the room where the group had a New Year's party with the flight attendant Christine Dacera. In the first video taken timestamped 2:52 a.m. on January 1, Dacera can be seen walking with a man knocking on a door. They can also be seen kissing before entering. At 3:15 a.m., Dacera also came out and moved to the other room. At 4:13 a.m., a man in a T-shirt is seen carrying Dacera into the room.[4] In another video captured by mobile phones, Dacera can be seen inside the room sitting and texting. The next video showing Dacera enters the bathroom of the room and sees the man taking the video as well.[4] At 4:39 a.m., Dacera left the room 2209 with a man and returned to the other room. Investigation baguhin

According to the Makati Police Station that morning was taken from a CCTV Hallway with a timestamp, the victim and some suspects were together and they were having fun, a few hours before the crime took place. The victim was drunk at the time of the incident.[6] At noon on January 1, Dacera's body was found in a bathtub in the check-in condominium. According to the police, several bruises were found on Christine's body and there was an indication that she was abused. In an autopsy, no signs of being choked or beaten on the head were found.[6]

Police initially said what happened to Dacera was a "rape-slay", but according to the autopsy report conducted by the doctor, Police Major Michael Nick Sarmiento, Dacera died from rupture aortic aneurysm.[7] The family was not convinced that no rape had taken place. Because the police statement does not match to the medico-legal result, the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) will conduct an autopsy on Dacera's remains.[7] The public expressed doubtness when PNP Chief General Debold Sinas said that the case was "solved". Others also criticized the apparent "trial by publicity" on social media with those involved in the incident.

On December 31, 2020 at 11:37 pm, Dacera had asked permission to her mother Sharon Dacera to have fun with her co-workers at the City Garden Grand Hotel in Durban, Makati. He was taken to Makati Medical Center on January 1 and was declared dead on arrival.[8] The said hotel will be investigated if there is a violation of the quarantine protocol during COVID-19 pandemic that two people per room can be allowed.[9] A second autopsy was conducted on Dacera's body but the result remained confidential.[10]

Suspects baguhin

The Makati police filed a "provisional charge of rape with homicide" against 11 men for Dacera's death.[6] The authorities first arrested three of the 11 suspects but the Makati City prosecutor ordered their release on January 6. Sinas warned that the PNP will pursue other suspects even without issuing an arrest warrant.[7] One of the remaining suspects, Gregorio Angelo Rafael de Guzman, has already appeared in public. De Guzman said in Tagalog, "How did I get raped? I'm gay. I never had sex with a woman, never in my life." Another suspect, Rey Englis, also stated in a post. He said, "Christine Dacera, wherever you are now always remember, we love you dearly. You are family to us."[7] On January 8, four of the suspects - Rommel Galido, Valentine Rosales, John Pascual dela Serna III and Clark Rapinan, who maintained their innocence, said that Dacera died of natural causes and stated that no foul play were taken place.[5] They are earlier released from the police detention under the orders of the Makati City Prosecutor’s Office.[5] The four also said that they did not use any drugs and they drink tequila, vodka, whiskey and cocktails in the party but Galido suspected that Dacera's drink may been spiked.[5]
