2018–19 MPBL Datu Cup
Ang 2018–19 MPBL Datu Cup ay ang pangalawang torneo ng Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League at ang unang buong panahon na may pambansang saklaw. Ang tournament ay naka-pattern sa kasalukuyang format ng National Basketball Association ng Estados Unidos at ang dating Metropolitan Basketball Association sa Pilipinas, na nahahati sa dalawang dibisyon: Ang Northern at ang Southern Division. Ang isang rekord ng 26 na koponan ay nakatakdang sumali sa isang buong taon na pagpupulong.[2] na inaasahang tatakbo para sa tagal na 9-11 buwan, ayon kay Kenneth Duremdes, ang komisyoner ng liga. Ang halos buong taon na kumperensya ay binuksan noong Hunyo 12, 2018, na tumutugma sa Araw ng Kalayaan ng Pilipinas sa Smart Araneta Coliseum, Quezon City at magtatapos sa pagtatapos ng MPBL Finals sa Abril sa taong 2019.

Pormat
baguhin- Lahat ng 26 mga koponan ay nahahati sa dalawang kumperensya o grupo: ang North at South Divisions, na binubuo ng 13 mga koponan bawat isa.
- Sa regular season, ang mga koponan ay maglalaro sa isang solong round-robin na format, sa bawat koponan na naglalaro ng 25 laro, sa isang home-and-away na batayan. Kahit na nahahati sa dalawang grupo, ang mga koponan ay maglalaro pa rin sa isang round-robin.
- Sa pagtatapos ng regular season, ang walong koponan sa bawat kumperensya ay magiging karapat-dapat para sa playoffs. Ang nangungunang apat (4) na koponan sa bawat kumperensya ay makakakuha ng home-court advantage sa buong playoff division. Bukod pa rito, ang koponan na may pinakamahusay na rekord ng liga ay hahawak ng home-court advantage sa buong playoffs, kabilang ang National Finals (kung makakarating sila hanggang doon).
- Para sa playoffs, ang unang round, division semifinals, at ang division finals ay magiging serye ng best-of-3, habang ang MPBL Finals ay magiging serye na may best-of-five format.
