Pantherinae
Ang Pantherinae ay isang subpamilya ng pamilyang Felidae na kinabibilangan ng mga henerang Panthera, Uncia at Neofelis.[1]

Ang diberhensiya ng Pantherinae mula sa Felinae ay sa pagitan ng 6 hanggang 10 milyong taon ang nakalilipas.[2] Ang analisis ng DNA ay nagmumungkahing ang leopardong niyebe na Uncia uncia ay basal sa buong Pantherinae at kaya ay dapat muling pangalanan na Panthera uncia. Mayroon ding ebidensiya para sa mga natatanging tagamarka para sa genome na mitokondriyal para sa Felidae .[3][4]
Ang isa pang pag-aaral ng DNA ay nagmungkahing ang pagkakasunod sunod ng pagsasanga ng Pantherinae ay una ang Panthera tigris na sinundan ng Panthera onca, Panthera leo, at ang huling mga kapatid na espesyeng: Panthera pardus and Panthera uncia.[5]
