Alegria Ferrer
Si Alegria Ocampo Ferrer ay isang Pilipinong propesor, gumaganap sa teatro, direktor at soprano na ginawaran ng Aliw Awards Hall of Fame sa kategoryang Female Classical at nakatala sa Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP) Encyclopedia of the Arts.[1][2][3] Ang Aliw Awards ay ibinibigay bilang pagkilala sa mga pinakamahusay na talento ng Pilipinas.[4] Ang CCP Encyclopedia of the Arts ay nagtataglay ng impormasyon tungkol sa sining at kultura ng Pilipinas.[5]

Nagtapos si Alegria O. Ferrer ng Master's Degree in Voice and Minor in Theater Arts, Piano at European Languages sa Kolehiyo ng Musika sa Unibersidad ng Pilipinas at nakapag-aral ng Voice at German language sa Mozarteum Hochschule fur Musik at sa University of Salzburg sa Salzburg, Austria. [6]
Kasama sa kanyang mga naging guro at tagapayo ay sina Maestra Torralba, Professor Ramos, Miss Lilia Reyes, Professor Fides Asensio, Professor Liselotte Egger, Professor Eleanor Weill, Professor Yasuko Suzuki at Dr. Antonio Hila.[6]
Propesyon baguhin
Si Alegria O. Ferrer ay isang propesor sa Kolehiyo ng Musika sa Unibersidad ng Pilipinas at naging guro sa Oberlin sa Italya noong 2016 at 2017. Siya rin ay soprano at gumaganap sa teatro bukod pa sa pagiging direktor.[7][2]

Naging kasapi ng University of the Philippines Concert Chorus si Alegria O. Ferrer at naging soloista nito noong World Concert at Competition Tour nito sa Asya, Amerika, Canada at Europa. Nakapagtanghal na rin siya kasama ang Budapest Opera Orchestra, Philippine Philharmonic Orchestra, Manila Symphony Orchestra, Angono Symphonic Band at Kontemporaryong Gamelan Pilipino (KONTRA-GAPI). Gumanap siya bilang Mimi sa "La Boheme", Violetta sa "La Traviata", Lakme sa "Lakme", Lady Macbeth sa "Macbeth", Anastacia sa "Mayo", sa title role ng "Phaedra", La Loba sa "La Loba Negra", Ghost of Cherry sa "Sakurahime", Nanay sa "Hansel and Gretel", Christine sa "Phantom of the Opera", Euridice sa "Orpheus and Euridice" ni Gluck at soloista sa "Magnificat" ni Bach. Pinangunahan rin niya ang "La Voix Humane", "Miss Havisham's Wedding Night", "Bisperas ng Liwanag" at "Lunop han Dughan-Pangandoy ni Yolanda."[6][8][9][10]

Iginawad kay Alegia O. Ferrer ang Aliw Awards Best Classical Performer noong 2004 at 2006 at ang Aliw Awards Hall of Fame sa kategoryang Female Classical noong 2008.[6][14] Natanggap din niya ang karangalan bilang University of the Philippines Artist I sa mga taong 2013 hanggang 2016, Professional Chair noong 2014 at "One of UP's most Productive Artists" noong 2016 pati na rin ang mapasama sa Cultural Center of the Philippines Encyclopedia of the Arts.[2]
